The Project
The design, build and implementation of a new and award winning system for Anglian Water. The EVENTUS system used the GLND Synergy pipeline modelling product as it core engine and added a new user interface, key features and mathematical algorithms for the modelling of discoloration in water pipelines in the event of a burst water main. The system predicted the size and extent of the discoloration event and the properties that would potentially be impacted, allowing Anglian Water to manage the event with the impacted customers. The system won the award for the best Business Process Innovation at the 2012 Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) innovation awards.
