The Project
Initially a Research & Development project on behalf of National Grid UK the Smart Survey Device was designed to incorporate a number of pipleine survey technologies into the one device. The Smart Survey Device was designed with mobility and flexibility from the outset and incorporated an ARM processor at it’s core. The device is capable of very high data sample rates, can conduct a number of pipeline surveys including CIPS, AC CIPS, DCVG as well as test post data sampling for both DC and AC currents. The device has a number of data logging capabilities, storing data directly onto SD card as well as bluetooth and usb connectivity.
